There's this tree in our front yard. It sits directly in front of my home office window and its a joy to me. In the summer I enjoy the sight and sound of birds. The squirrels also like to launch themselves from the roof onto the tree branches. In weather like this, it takes on another beauty.

This is hard to see but if you look close, you'll see a bedraggled cat sitting in a "dry" spot of the neighbor's yard. Tried to help him but he ran off. Stupid cat.

This is the first time we've flown an airplane on a family vacation. At the end of our flight to Maui, the kids were given a tour of the cockpit. Here are the boys sitting in the co-pilots seat.

We stayed in Kihei near Kama'Ole Beach I, also called Charlie Young beach. We had lots of fun boogie boarding and body surfing.

Here's a shot of the kids playing in the surf at Big Beach. This beach had strong waves and a steep slope. I was quite nervous about the kids playing in the water because it would pull back hard after crashing onto the shore.

In the background, you can see Molokini crater to the right and the island of Kaho'olawe to the left.
